Our Helen Hosking’s Scholar is next weeks guest speaker

Southern Districts Rotary (in its previous incarnation as Thornlie Rotary) established a fund in the memory of Mrs Helen Hosking to provide a summer vacation scholarship in the discipline of biochemistry. The scholarship is called the Rotary Club of Thornlie Helen Hosking Vacation Scholarship in Biochemistry.

Nicholas Dunstan is our latest Scholarship Awardee. 

Nicholas Dunstan from Alice Vrielink lab was awarded the highly prestigious J A Wood Memorial Prize "for the most outstanding Honours graduand for 2016 across the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences”. Nicholas completed his Honours project in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, working on the structure and dynamics of validated drug targets for antibiotic resistant bacteria. This year he has commenced the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at UWA.
